21 June 2022 – Bromborough (UK): NewEra Metal Resources Ltd (the “Company” or “NewEra”) announces application for two (2) cateos (exploration concessions) each of 500 ha over two known bitumen occurrences, Quebrada de Lourdes-Chenqueco and Arroyo Chacay which will form part of its La Victoria and Malargue West vanadium projects respectively.
The La Victoria project now comprises two (2) cateos for a total of 1,000 ha. including one cateo which is adjacent to the Mina Aida mine permit as announced on 21 February 2022. The project covers known bitumen occurrences and is proximal to other occurrences all situated in a favourable structural setting.
The Malargue west project is now comprised of four cateos covering an area of approximately 2,400 ha and it includes known bitumen occurrences and “bitumen workings” interpreted from an independent satellite study completed in 2019.
Subject to funding, NewEra plans to complete 1st stage environmental reports and reconnaissance work at the Malargue West project during the 2022/2023 field season.
